MuD Bacteriophage & Operon in Gene Fusion
[ send me this paper ]
10 page paper. Despite the fact that gene fusion has been with us for years, there is still significant opposition in the popular press to 'genetic engineering.' Myriad agents are used to accomplish delivery of genetic factors to specific gene sites, many of which are written of extensively in the literature. One that is not written of quite as much as the others is the MuD bacteriophage. Despite all the work that has been done in gene fusion and gene mapping, the ultimate foreseeable value lies not in science-fiction tales of cloning, but rather in understanding some of the diseases with which gene fusion could be either alleviated or cured. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

Multi-Step Synthesis of Benzilic Acid
[ send me this paper ]
This 6 page laboratory study considers the multi-step synthesis process in the creation of benzilic acid. The project proposes the use of benzaldehyde and potassium cyanide and the focus on the varied steps in order to synthesize benzilic acid. Natural Gas as a Fuel in Diesel Engines
[ send me this paper ]
An 18 page paper discussing research in
introducing natural gas as an enhancer for diesel fuel. Natural gas cannot fully substitute for
any fuel in any type of internal combustion engine, but there have been attempts to use a
pilot injection of diesel followed by injection of natural gas. The nature of natural gas is
such that the diesel's continuous air supply is detrimental. The pilot diesel - natural gas
combination has been successful in single-cylinder engines, but in no other diesel engines of
any greater number of cylinders. Includes 2 diagrams and a chart. Bibliography lists 8

Nature v. Nurture/Environment Wins
[ send me this paper ]
A 3 page research paper/essay that examines the nature v. nurture debate and argues in favor of nurture. The "nature versus nurture" debate has been going on now for over a century, as it began in the nineteenth century when a cousin of Charles Darwin, Francis Galton, came up with the idea of "improving" the human race through "selective breeding" (Hogenboom 1402). Since that time the pendulum has swung back and forth with either "nature" (that is, the influence of inherited traits) or "nurture" (the influence of the environment) being predominant among scholars. However, considering the latest research, the indications are that nurture is more important than nature in making us who and what we are. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Nature Verses Nurture: Impacts on Child Motivation and Temperament
[ send me this paper ]
A 12 page overview of the relative importance of nature verses nurture, genetics verses environment, on a child’s temperament and motivation. Bibliography lists 15 sources.

Neuroarchitectural Differences in Brain Structure Between the Sexes
[ send me this paper ]
A 14 page overview of the differences in brain structure and neuroarchitectural that exists between males and females. New Science
[ send me this paper ]
A 4 page paper discussing the theories of Margaret Wheatley in “Leadership and the New Science,” with that of Karl Popper in “A Survey of Some Fundamental Problems.” Wheatley’s theory is essentially that everything must change
and as a result of this change we can choose to look negatively or positively. Everything must change and as such is open for some incredibly positive realizations. In Popper’s ideas the notions addressed concern the idea of Inductive reasoning and planning. While at times the two ideas appear to coincide, essentially they address different ways of thinking about scientific progress and theorizing. No additional sources are cited.

Newton's Theory of Light # 2
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page overview. Though Isaac Newton's calculus and mechanical theory still holds firm after nearly 400 years of attempts to disprove them, about all that remains intact of Newton's theory of light is that sunlight is indeed a mixture of all the colors of the spectrum and can be split, as Newton demonstrated, into its separate physical components by means of a prism. Many still refer to him as the greatest scientist who ever lived, and the failure of his full theory of light to withstand the test of time and technological advances in investigative procedures and methods still does not detract from Newton's genius. Bibliography lists four sources.
